Following an extensive upgrade to its facility, the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art will open the Higashiyama Cube gallery, an exciting new addition to the museum. It will be the venue for “Hiroshi Sugimoto – POST VITAM,” an exhibition of works by Hiroshi Sugimoto. Sugimoto, who is an internationally acclaimed contemporary Japanese artist, seeks to express the world of jodo (pure land) through his works; one of such is his OPTICKS series, which will be presented at this exhibition for the first time in the world, along with his Glass Tea House “Mondrian.” ONBEAT vol.12 offers details of this exhibition along with images of the works to be presented.
