“Electric Wire Art Exhibition-From Kiyochika Kobayashi to Akira Yamaguchi-” will be hold at the Nerima Art Museum from Feb. 28 to Apr. 18, 2021.
While oftentimes these wires and poles are seen as a blight on a landscape, there is often a nostalgic, hometown element to them, too.
The exhibition features arts painting the presence of electric wires and utility poles, introduces numerous works that span from the early Meiji era to the present day, from the likes of Kiyochika Kobayashi, Ryusei Kishida, Gentaro Kogure, and Akira Yamaguchi to name just a handful.
