AWT FOCUS is AWT’s original program which combines the experiences of appreciating art at museum and purchasing artworks at gallery, curated by Mami Kataoka (Director of Mori Art Museum and the National Center of Art Research) with whom our magazine ONBEAT has repeatedly interviewed.
Titled as “Earth, Wind and Fire: Visions of the Future from Asia”, the exhibition program focuses on the Asian way of viewing the world (e.g. admiring natural cycles and ecosystems or invisible forces) and thinks of the future where diversity is valued. 57 artists from various countries like Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Brazil, Hong Kong and Mexico exhibits their works and these are introduced divided into 4 sections.
