Born in 1978. Obtained his MFA at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2008 and later participated in artist residencies in many countries. Continues to explore the relationship between drawing and language as he attempts to expand the potential in the concept of drawing by using different approaches including two-dimensional works, sculpture, video and performance. His works have been exhibited worldwide, including 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art / Ishikawa in 2009, Mori Art Museum / Tokyo in 2010, Museum of Architecture / Wroclaw in 2015, Yinchuan Museum of Contemporary Art / China in 2016, MOCO Panacée / France in 2019, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo in 2019-2020. Founded “Drawing Tube” in 2016, a platform for the alternative contemporary drawing research and practice.
